India’s southern-most neighbour Sri Lanka lies in the Bay of Bengal and was formerly known as Ceylon. In the tea trade, the teas from Sri Lanka are still known as Ceylon teas. Ceylon teas are best known for their smooth, full flavour. May be taken with milk.

Ceylon Ratnapura FBOP.FEXS ‘silver tips’
A real top quality leaf tea from the central highlands. The leaf is long thin and wiry with many silver tips. This tea has a wonderful aroma with a warm chocolate malty taste.
Very little astringency. The cup is a deep copper colour. One of our favourites !

Strikingly beautiful black pine-needle shaped leaf. Sweetish and full-bodied in taste. with an earthy, spicy flavour. The cup is golden brown.
