Prices
Tea is the most affordable luxury in the world. But at first
glance it may seem expensive. A tea that costs €100.00
per kilo only costs 20 cents per cup when brewed. A kilo of
tea will typically yield 500 cups (vs. 40-50 cups from a kilo
of coffee). The majority of the teas we offer will cost between
8-12 cents per cup.
Also, some of the teas in our collection will yield as many
as 4-6 infusions from the same leaves (particularly oolongs,
whites and greens). For many teas, those later infusions yield
the most interesting flavors. Since most of the caffeine is
released in the first infusion, this is also a way to reduce
the caffeine content.
For most sales, all teas are priced per 100g. 100g will typically
make 50 cups of tea. We will also package all teas in 50g
quantities, at half the 100g price, plus 25 cents. Larger
quantities, 250 g and Wholesale pricing is also available
upon request.
Our products are agricultural commodities and as a result
their underlying prices vary all the time. While we endeavour
to only change our prices annually, we reserve the right to
change the prices of products at any time without notice.
Despite our best efforts, a small number of the many products
in our catalogue may, therefore, be mis-priced on the web
site. Rest assured, however, that we verify prices as part
of our order fulfilment procedures.
If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price,
we charge the lower amount and send you the item. If a product's
correct price is higher than our stated price by more than
10%, we will cancel your order and notify you of that cancellation,
otherwise we will charge the stated price and send you the
item.
Availability
We hold sufficient stock of all our lines to fulfil our expected
medium term orders. Therefore, we can normally pack your order
and prepare it for shipment within 48 hours.
However, either because of the seasons or if you are placing
an exceptionally large order we may occasionally run short
of an item. As we process your order, we will inform you by
e-mail if any items you order turn out to be unavailable and
will provide you with an estimated time it will take us to
receive it from the supplier, pack it and prepare it for shipment.
If we expect to be out of stock for 2 weeks or more, we will
give you the option of cancelling your order and refunding
any payments promptly or crediting your next order.
Terms and Conditions
- All prices published by Kingfisher Tea include
currently applicable VAT rates. Carriage fees are not included
in any published prices.
- Prices and descriptions are subject to change
without notice. Minor specification variations do not entitle
the purchaser to rescind the contract. Photos and descriptions
are to serve as a guide only and are not contractually binding.
- Kingfisher Tea remains the owner of all goods
shipped to the buyer until the Company has been paid in
full.
- We do not warrant the suitability of goods for
a particular purpose, and you should check suitability before
ordering.
- Goods are not sold on a trial basis.
- Claims for damage and mis-shipping must be made
within seven days of receipt.
- All returns must be in stock condition, in their
original packaging and be authorised by Kingfisher Tea.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to return and collect
goods to / from Kingfisher Tea.
- We are not responsible for any consequential loss
or expenses, howsoever caused, including incidental returns
costs.
- All products advertised are subject to availability.
In the event of non-availability of goods, we reserve the
right to rescind the contract.
- Goods may not be supplied in packaging shown.
- The Company reserves the right to decline service
to any company or consumer.
- If part of these terms is found to be unlawful,
it shall not affect the validity of the remainder.
- These terms and conditions do not affect consumer
statutory rights.
- Errors and omissions excepted. A full copy of

- General Introduction - The easiest and most convenient
way to purchase the products is through our secure website.
If you do not wish to order on the web site, you may also
order using fax or e-mail. This site is structured in such
a way that you will always see the list of categories on
your left. In order to view the products, simply click on
the category you want and they will appear in the window
beside the list. Each product has a description and a picture.
The navigation of this site is straight-forward. However,

- Cheque: Please allow 2-4 days clearance before delivery.
- Bank draft/postal order: After receiving a bank draft
goods will be dispatched immediately.
- Delivery/Shipping Costs - Delivery costs will be shown
when you check out and depend on the weight of the order.
For example, within Ireland: up to 200g = €2.50, up
to 500g = €3.50, up to 1kg = €6.00 , 2kg is €7.00
and each additional 1kg is 1 euro.
- Receiving Your Order - On receipt of your order please
check the packaging and contents carefully. Please keep
any original packaging that the products are supplied in,
in case you need to return the product. If you have any
problems with your delivery or goods you must notify us
within 7 working days of receiving your order.
